Swimming Pool

Spring, Summer, Winter or Fall…the swimming pool is the most popular facility at Gene Slay’s Boys’ Club. And parents love the pool too! Why? Because there are no additional program fees to take swim lessons, play in the water polo house leagues, enjoy free swim or anything else! That’s right. Usage of the pool and the locker room is included in the annual membership fee and are there for our members to enjoy any time they visit.

The Boys’ Club swimming pool is Jr. Olympic size facility that is 5 lanes wide and 25 yards long. The pool ranges from 3 feet deep to 8 feet deep with the deep end starting at 5 feet deep.

The Boys Club swimming pool has an unprecedented safety record and is widely regarded as one of the premier swimming facilities in the Metro Area. The staff believes that a safety-first approach ensures that not only will all members enjoy their time at the pool, they’ll keep coming back to enjoy themselves again and again.

The swimming pool at Gene Slay’s Boys’ Club of St. Louis is the only facility in the area with two adult certified Life Guard Instructors (LGI) on staff and monitoring pool activities at all times. Boys’ Club swimming facility notes:

• All swimmers must take a shower before entering the pool and after exiting the pool
• All swimmers, no matter their age, must pass a deep water certification test to swim in the deep end
• All swimmers have access to free, secure lockers. Only Boys’ Club locker room staff has a key
